Have you seen the short document on Sleep Hygiene that NRAS have issued? http://nras.org.uk/help_...x?id=a0BC000000LKGSuMAP
All straightforward and relatively obvious stuff but a good aide memoire Paul Barrett

I've downloaded that Paul, looks interesting and I'm sure many RA folk will have difficulty some night sleeping, if not every night!

Well you added a smiley footnote so I guess, slow though it might be things are going in the right direction. Good luck Paul Gogs.

I am resigned to it taking a long time to wean myself off, Gogs. At the current rate of reduction it will another one year and one month before I am off them. I have to be upbeat about it or I will go the other way. One thing the CBT taught me was to separate pain and mood. It works, most of the time. Paul Barrett

Very useful article on sleep hygiene. Have shown it to dog, and explained that snoring, shaking out coat, loud slurping from water bowl and hurling self onto bed not hygienic at all. He seems to have understood and am confident there will be a vast improvement tonight. Helen

How lucky you are Helen if that's ALL your dog does. My dog is now 14 1/2 years and besides all you've mentioned he also 'f**** all night approximately two feet from my nose - it's so bad sometimes it wakes me up Gogs

I tried explaining to the cat that sitting on my head in bed was also bad hygiene. I just got that 'frankly I don't give a damn' look. Paul Barrett
